Overview of the user roles
- Admin: This role encompasses comprehensive editing rights across all features, including access to settings like user and tags management.
- Editor: Editors have the ability to edit journey maps, personas, hierarchies, opportunities, and more. Editors cannot delete opportunities.
- Viewer: Viewers can only view content and lack the ability to make edits.
Access levels within Smaply 3.0
- Personal space: In your personal space you are the only user, and you hold admin rights. However, you can invite collaborators to specific journey maps with varying roles.
- Organizations:
- Organization level: Users of an organization gain access to all workspaces within the organization with access rights based on their roles (admin, editor, viewer).
- Workspace level: Users have access to the specific workspace to which they were invited.
- Journey map level: Users can access individual journey maps they've been invited to. Note that opportunities, pain points, and solutions are stored at the workspace level. When sharing a journey map with a user who isn't part of the organization or workspace, these cards won't be visible to this user.
Manage Users
- Organization Admins: Admins can invite and manage users for the entire organization by clicking on the cogwheel next to the organization's name in the dashboard and navigating to "Users." They can also manage the users of each workspace or journey map.
- Workspace Admins: Admins at the workspace level can invite and manage users to the workspace by accessing the settings within the workspace.
This tiered approach ensures that users have precisely the access they need, streamlining collaboration within Smaply 3.0.
