With our software solutions (Smaply and ExperienceFellow) we help other companies analyze and innovate their customer experience with their service. Join our international team of 20 diverse folks, and be part of our journey as our Backend Developer (Vienna or Innsbruck).

Your role in this journey
  • You take over our API-based software backend (Ruby on Rails)
  • You plan and implement new features and the according database structure
  • You build and maintain a robust continuous delivery process
  • You maintain and improve our server infrastructure and perform updates and security checks
  • You plan and conduct technical migrations
  • You take over standby duties for server maintenance in case of outages/errors
  • You regularly review our API’s performance and take measures to speed it up
  • You join forces with our frontend developers
Our tech stack
  • Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Load Balancing, MySQL Cluster, Docker, Kubernetes, GNU/Linux, Bash, Ruby on Rails, …
Your strengths
  • You are fluent in any mature object oriented programming language (ideally Ruby)
  • You have practical experience in building and running software
  • You are confident with Linux server configuration and management
  • Knowledge about Kubernetes, Docker or CI servers is a plus
  • You are a self-organized team player and take over tasks on personal initiative

Frontend developer (Vienna or Innsbruck)

We have two software solutions (Smaply and ExperienceFellow) which help other companies visualize, analyze and innovate the customer experience. We are a team of 24 diverse folks with 9 different nationalities that is looking for a peer to join us on this journey.

Your role on this journey
  • You take care of our frontend stack based on Javascript frameworks that communicates via a RESTful API with our backend
  • You experiment with new frameworks and technologies and plan the strategic future of our frontend tech stack
  • You plan and implement new features in close cooperation with our development and design team
  • You build and maintain a robust testing and continuous delivery process
  • You review our frontend performance and take measures to speed it up
  • You plan the development of non-native mobile applications for our products
  • Our tech stack: Backbone.js - Marionette - Coffee Script - Sass - Cypress - Skim - Git - Docker (we plan a transition to a modern technology)
What we need from you
  • You are fluent in Backbone.js and Marionette, alternatively in any other major framework
  • You are confident using HTML and CSS preprocessors and building fast web-based interfaces
  • Profound knowledge about REST and API Design is a plus
  • You have at least three years experience in working with JS
  • You are a critical and strategic thinker who likes to challenge things
  • You are a self-organized team player who takes the initiative to bring in new ideas

Service Design & Training

More than Metrics is a young company in the field of service design. With our software solutions (Smaply and ExperienceFellow) we help other companies visualize, analyze and innovate their customer experience with their products or service. We help B-2-B customers in more than 90 countries to establish and scale service design within their organizations through software. We organize and conduct training, coach and coordinate projects with external service design agencies.

Be part of our journey and join our international team in Innsbruck as our responsible for Service Design & Training

Your role in this journey
  • Plan and conduct trainings for organizations all over the world
  • Help teams and agencies grow their practice through coaching
  • Develop training materials, such as articles, guides, videos, and podcasts
  • Collaborate with our customers and users to write content and cases on personas, journey maps, stakeholder maps, or design research with mobile ethnography
  • Represent our company at community and corporate events through keynotes, talks, workshops, and discussion rounds
  • Run internal service design projects to help improving our user/customer/employee experience
  • Help improving our software through design research and prototyping with our users
Your strengths
  • 3+ years experience in service design/experience design/innovation
  • Deep understanding of service design methods, such as personas, journey maps, stakeholder maps, or design research with mobile ethnography
  • Excellent writing skills to prepare materials for trainings and content for the community
  • Experience working globally or with geographically distributed teams and willingness to travel internationally approx. 5 days per month
  • Business fluent in English; other languages are a plus
  • Experience in SaaS business is a plus

SEO Manager (6h/week)

This time we are looking for an SEO Manager to join our journey in Innsbruck.

Your role on this journey

As our SEO Manager, you progressively develop our SEO strategy and implement measures to achieve the company’s SEO goals.

  • You conduct technical SEO analysis (website audits, potential analysis and competitor analysis)
  • Evaluate existing websites and document adjustments based on SEO best practices to improve usability
  • You support us in the development and optimization of on-page content
  • Research organic and paid keyword phrases to identify most beneficial opportunities for targeting
  • You take over the monitoring of SEO KPIs
  • As part of our marketing team, you work closely with our developers and designers
What we need from you
  • Relevant professional experience in the field of SEO and are motivated to take over and raise the area independently
  • Experience with various SEO and non-SEO tools such as SEMrush, GSC, Sistrix, GA, Moz, Excel, etc.)
  • HTML5 / CSS3 knowledge will be an advantage
  • Understanding the importance of XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, and 301 redirects is also a strong plus
  • Fluent in English (German language skills are a plus)

We are looking for a Quality Assurance & Software Tester (marginal employment / 8 hours per week).

Your role on this journey
  • You do structured and detailed manual tests of our web-based and mobile apps. In addition to our automated test-suite you review and test each release before it goes live.
  • You assist our development team in identifying potential areas for further high-level automated tests to make the test suite more robust.
  • You closely collaborate with our frontend and backend developers as well as with designers.
What we need from you
  • Ideally you are in your bachelor studies of informatics or related fields
  • You have technical knowledge about how web-based applications work
  • You have an eye for details and usability
  • You are fluent in English
